Resource & Documentation Centre provides different kinds of services, such as the running of a library, electronic information retrieval, photocopying and archiving human rights articles from newspapers and other sources providing human rights information. The library at SAHRIT is one of the few libraries in Zimbabwe housing a human rights collection of books and journals: the collection includes work of legal, philosophical, economic and developmental nature as well as country reports. Special attention is given to materials relating to our programmes that is, ethics and good governance, human rights education, training the Police, children's rights and human rights in general. The library holds a collection of approximately 800 titles in the form of books and reports and more than 50 journals. All material is in English. The library is open to researchers, academics and members of the public. Compiled by Noel Kututwa and Yvonne Chibiya:SAHRIT, 2005 Abstract The Nepad Media Monitoring Guidelines are intended to serve as benchmarks that can be used to measure, monitor and assess the level of commitment and effective implementation of development initiatives under the Nepad Programme by African States. The indicators are developed in a user- friendly manner that will also serve as a simple guide for journalists in their reporting of NEPAD issues. They are intended to be a quick and easy reference to the conditionalities on governance issues covered by the NEPAD Programme. A background of the NEPAD programme is set out in the indicators as well as the items that must be looked out for when reporting matters related to NEPAD.
