SARPCCO Middle Management Course Lusaka Zambia 19-30 November 2007 |

SAHRIT in collaboration with the Southern African Regional Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation (SARPCCO) carried out a two week train the trainer workshop for middle managers from the various police organisations in the SADC region. Participants were drawn from Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe~New!!
The course is designed by SARPCCO to equip and empower law enforcement officials who are at middle management level with the professional competence, knowledge and skills in the general management process and efficiency in the utilization of resources for improved results. In pursuance of this goal, SAHRIT provides the middle managers with knowledge and skills in professional ethics (including the promotion and protection of human rights) and good conduct to maintain the highest possible standard of policing and earn public confidence and cooperation. The official opening was done by the Zambian Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kabonde. In his speech, he encouraged active participation by the participants during the course. He also thanked SARPCCO co-operating partners for their continued support in the implementation of SARPCCO activities in order to improve policing in the region.
